Low Cost Individual Sex Therapy

Here, you'll find details about how to sign into low-cost service, structure of the process, payment options, and more. We aim to provide accessible and transparent support to couples seeking guidance in their intimate relationships.

  • If you are interested in low-cost couple sex therapy, we kindly ask you to schedule an initial assessment appointment. Prior to the assessment, you will be asked to fill out a self-referral form.

    You can also be referred by the NHS or other services. Please ensure your service utilises the referral form provided below. Once the referral form is received, the Therapy Centre's administration will reach out to arrange your first initial appointment.

  • You will be scheduled for an Initial Assessment lasting 50 minutes. Following this assessment, you will be enrolled in 12 therapy sessions based on your evaluation.

    Sessions occurs on weekly or fortnight intervals.

    Session are taken remotely only via Zoom or Google Meet Application.

    Summary of the process:

    1. Self-referral or external referral.

    2. Initial assessment appointment at any time before October 2024.

    3. Following the Initial Assessment, you may be eligible for low-cost individual sex therapy sessions, which are scheduled to commence in October 2024.

  • If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment, please let us know 48 hours in advance. You can reschedule your appointment by emailing the Therapy Centre on admin@jkltherapycentre.com. Please note that if you give less than 48 hours’ notice, it will count as one of your sessions.

    If you do not attend an appointment and have not contacted the Therapy Centre to cancel it, we will assume you do not wish to continue therapy and you will be immediately discharged.

    If you cancel two appointments, you may be automatically discharged.

  • The Initial Assessment fee is £50, which is required to be paid upfront. 12 therapy sessions: £30 for each session (£360 in total of the 12 sessions course).

    There are several ways to facilitate this payment: when scheduling your initial assessment appointment, you will have the option to pay in instalments. If you have been referred by the NHS or another provider, the therapy centre's administration will reach out to you to confirm that both payment and paperwork are properly arranged.

  • Commitment to Therapy: Individual should demonstrate a genuine commitment to attending therapy sessions regularly and actively participating in the process.

    Consent: Individual must willingly agree to engage in therapy and be open to discussing sensitive topics related to their relationship and sexuality.

    Confidentiality Agreement: Individual should agree to maintain the confidentiality of the therapy sessions, ensuring a safe space for open communication and exploration.

    Therapy Agreement: Individual need to sign the agreement prior to commence the therapy.

  • Individual Sexual Difficulty: The therapy will address common individual sexual difficulties such as:

    Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

    Premature Ejaculation (PE)

    Delayed Ejaculation

    Low Sexual Desire (Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder)

    Orgasmic Disorders

    Painful Intercourse (Dyspareunia)

    Sexual Identity Issues

    Body Image Issues Related to Sexuality

    Performance Anxiety

    Communication Problems in Sexual Relationships

  • Active Substance Abuse Issues: Individuals who are actively struggling with addiction (alcohol, drugs, etc.) might need specialised substance abuse treatment before or alongside couples therapy.

    Ongoing Domestic Violence: If there are current concerns of physical, emotional, or sexual violence within the relationship, the safety and well-being of the individuals involved take precedence, necessitating referral to specialised domestic violence resources.

    Severe Mental Health Disorders: Individuals who are dealing with unmanaged severe mental health issues (e.g., psychosis, bipolar disorder in manic phase, severe depression with suicidal ideation), individual psychiatric treatment might be recommended as a priority.

    Legal Restrictions or Orders: Situations where there are legal constraints, such as restraining orders or ongoing custody battles, can complicate the therapeutic process and might necessitate referral to therapists who specialise in legal and forensic psychology.

    Lack of Motivation for Therapy: Individual where demonstrate a clear lack of motivation or unwillingness to participate in the therapy process might be advised to seek alternative support or reconsider their readiness for therapy.
