About Me

Hello, I’m John, a qualified counsellor, and trainee Psychosexual Therapist.

My journey to be a therapist started when I came out as being gay and connected with a local LGBT youth group.

I later found myself taking on the role of mentor and being a proactive supporter of LGBT+ issues.

I come from a strong background in Sexual Health, from working in venues to discuss HIV prevention, and other forms of harm reduction. This led me to joining a Sexual Health Clinic, which spanned over several years, and different roles.

I specialise in working with issues around Compulsive Sexual Behaviours (CSB), including Chemsex and what some might call ‘sex’ or ‘porn’ addiction.

Sex has often been at the heart of what I do, so it seems fitting to now be training as a Psychosexual Therapist.

It can feel empowering to discuss sex, and sex related issues in a confidential, non-judgmental space, that’s what I offer in therapy.

Psychosexual Therapy can be useful to address a range of sexual issues, which include, but are not limited to:

Unreliable erections, pain when having sex, low desire and lack of, or no orgasm.

By choosing me as your therapist, we’ll carefully explore what’s going on, what might be causing the issue, and finding positive ways to address it.
